Zee’s Playlist – November 2016

zee_monforti

Greetings fellas,

Zee here again with some updates, November went like a breeze and probably the most coolest / craziest month for me.

First Jordan Rudess was in town to celebrate his 60th birthday and was kind enough to invite me, it was great honor for me personally we watch the baseball world series game together with Frank Lucas and Chicago Cubs won the series in 100 years what a luck he brought 🙂

Next Jimmy Keegan (Spock’s Beard)  came on a short visit of Chicago and I got all remaining signed items for the Far and Near pledge campaign from him. I shipped all the remaining items and now focusing on next for Fire Garden which is play more live shows in 2017 (Next one is on 11/30 at Martyrs’ Chicago)

Next morning after meeting with Jimmy Keegan I flew to Denver to see Bruce Soord (He mixed the new album Far and Near) he was on short tour to USA (first time) and opening for Steven Wilson. He was awesome and kind enough to introduce Fire Garden to Mr.Steven Wilson and the band, I didn’t get a chance to chat with Steven but got confirmation that he has received the copy of new album. I got a chance to meet Adam Holzman and he kinda recognized me by looking at my Fire Garden T-Shirt (that was surprising).

Later I met good people at Progrock.com for a live interview at their show “Music in Widescreen” the show was awesome I was there for about 3 hours and pick all the music for that show it was fun, we talked about the songs, working with musicians and I just got informed that this episode was the top downloaded episode in the history of Music in Widesreen which is flattering. I hope I did a good job. You can download the show from the following link

Next I have very cool update for our UK/European fans, I got an email from well known musician based in UK and soon will announce cool news.

To end this month Fire Garden is playing a show at Martyrs’ Chicago on 11/30 with Sonus Umbra and Erzulie. Martyrs’ was one of the venue in my wishlist and I am glad it is happening, we are filming a show as well let’s see how it comes out. We are playing some new songs from Far and Near so if you are in town or near by definitely come and see us
